The process starts at the beginning of the production year by printing a number of blank cheques corresponding to the bank's estimate of annual cheque consumption. Those cheques are pre-printed with the relevant graphics and fields. Upon placing the order, they are completed with the variable data: client's name and account number, and the bank's branch.
The data sent via the electronic order form is automatically validated and cleared by our system for printing onto the cheques. The serial number of the cheque is translated into an algorithmic cryptogram following the bank's specifications. After the data control and processing, the blank cheques are printed with the variable data, barcodes on each cheque to ensure accurate printing and sorting, and the algorithmic code at the bottom of the cheque, printed with MICR. The cheques are then verified for accuracy and quality. The papers are cut and bound by the cover, labeled with the name of the client, and bundled with the cheque books of each bank's branch. The batch is then placed in one parcel that is delivered to the branch within 24 hours.
IPT provides data warehousing for the duration of your request. All information pertaining to the cheques ordered is held within the system, and is retrievable at your discretion.
